Universal Music Publishing Group ilooking for an A&R Assistant who has superior attention to detail, great organizational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines and can juggle multiple critical requests. Must be very efficient and highly attuned to the smallest of details, as well as being able to multi-task and work on tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment is crucial. A “can-do” attitude is essential.
Job Descriptions
- Provide general administrative support for A&R Executives, including scheduling of meetings
- Using internal tools to book and expense Artist and A&R team travel
- Log and submit A&R executive expense reports in a timely manner
- Prepare for A&R presentations, meeting agendas + recaps
- DJ weekly meetings (playing music, videos, etc.)
- Regularly updating UMPG’s playlist of weekly releases
- Handle ticket buys for A&R staff
- Maintain running gig list of UMPG artists in NYC area
- Maintain list of select artists / A&R staff’s roster
- Scout / research artists for potential signing/sessions
- Assist on awards submission, preparation and completion
- See live shows
- Help with recording sessions i.e., booking studio time and rental equipment as needed/applicable
- Coordinate office lunches
- Maintain playlists of pitch songs/demos
- Assist on collected report to CEO analyzing chart info, sessions, roster news, & upcoming releases
- Maintain NYC writer room at Office

- Ability to respectfully represent UMPG and its identity inside the office and at outside events (concerts, meetings, etc.)
