The Event Systems Coordinator assumes a central role within the Event Services and Arena Operations team. Tasked with managing our centralized platform spanning all operational departments, this position is pivotal in enhancing communication for both fans and staff, mitigating liability and risk for our arena, and streamlining facilities management processes. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure optimal scheduling and maintenance of our arena calendar. This position will be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Job Descriptions
This Role Will Focus On
- Overseeing the daily management of the arena’s centralized operations system (24/7); liaising with Event Services and Arena Operations teams
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues as they arise, implementing solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency for our operations teams
- Collaborating with other departments to integrate arena systems with overall operations, such as event scheduling, contractor scheduling and maintenance scheduling, fan experience and security incident management
- Providing training and support to staff on the use of arena systems
- Managing cross-functional department processes and workflows
- Monitoring and tracking work orders, holding departments accountable for timely completion
- Coordinating with vendors and contractors for system repairs, upgrades, and maintenance

You Have
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Facilities Management or a related field
- Proven experience in event operations and experience with and a strong aptitude for database concepts
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and external partners
- Strong customer service focus
- Onsite role at our office in downtown Vancouver
